Stay at our 37 acre small holding and woodland Cunnigar, set on the river Cleddau approx 1 & 1/2 miles from Haverfordwest (our county  town). Whilst we are close to civilisation with all that offers Cunnigar can be a haven from everyday life where you can enjoy nature up close with meadows and saltmarsh and river to explore. We enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, the Preseli hills, and the Cleddau river and space to relax, be yourself, explore, play, run free, build dens, walk and cycle. With three distinctly different spaces to choose from we have something for everyone.  In the Hut & Secret Water  you will have your own wood burning hot tub and in the Sheepshed and Fold there is a wood burning pizza oven.

Cunnigar

As a family we have lived at Cunnigar for 48 years. It was bought by Paul & Tessa (my parents) when they moved to Pembrokeshire in 1975 and they raised their 4 kids here. From the start they felt so incredibly blessed to live in such an amazing place that they always wanted to share it with others. Over the years there have been many visitors from all walks of life that we have enjoyed sharing our place with. Our hope has been to create a place of calm and sanctuary. About 20 years ago I moved back to Cunnigar with my husband Oliver and have raised my own family here.

My parents always wanted to live sustainably off the land and over the years have been involved in many many different hare brained schemes... with sheep, cows, donkeys, ponies chickens, pigs and even quails. We finally realised our passion lay with hospitality of people rather than animals. These days we just about manage a few chickens and tack sheep in the winter, but love having visitors all year round.

Each of our homes can run the central heating and hot water from our own woodland including Secret Water. The main home also has solar panels, we have our own water supply for the garden from a natural spring, all the brain child of my parents.

Since the family has been at Cunnigar we have planted 3 separate plantations, and around 900 trees. We are pleased we have done this as we have been hit hard by ash die back and lost a lot of old trees in the past few years.

We want to do our best to promote wildlife at Cunnigar and do our best to be Eco friendly.
